Aluminum Chip Case - 300
Count: This came in from
ApacheChips. Good looking aluminum chip case with room for a couple
decks of cards and some dice. Loaded this case up with chips, (As in
completely loaded...so there was a decent amount of weight in it), and it
stayed nice and sturdy. No weird sounds, pops or surprises in general.
Overall good case that I'd use without hesitation.

Aluminum Chip Case - 500
Count: HoldemPokerChips.com
sent a couple of these my way. Pretty good quality. With 500
chips loaded, they don't strain. One of the two has a difficult case
lock on it, but it loosed up after a couple days of using it.

Buttons: Got some
poker buttons in recently. Your basic set. Biggest note is that
the Dealer button has a nice rounded-off edge to it. Much cooler than
many plastic buttons I've used. Other than that, just your standard
fair...but not a bad deal for the price.

Casino de Isthmus City (James
Bond) cards: Nice looking cards with a good texture on them.
Shuffled and dealt well. Graphics are going to be up to you.
Little on the odd side for my taste, but nothing that's going get you
annoyed during the game. Manufactured by "Authentic Products Inc.",
these chips are identical (at least as best I can tell) in texture and feel
to the World Series of Poker cards previously reviewed. |

Custom Chip Stickers: An
easy and relatively inexpensive way to create a custom chip set for yourself
is to put long-life stickers on them. The key is the term, 'long
life'. I was immediately curious at how durable these stickers would
be and, of course, went at them with the deadly Fingernail Of Doom.
Much to my own surprise, the stickers held up pretty damn good. I
mean, if you really give them a hard, fierce, scratching, yes....you can
damage to image on the sticker. But, when compared to many
silk-screened composite and plastic chips out there, these stickers are as
good or better in the area of durability. So second question is,
will the stickers come off? And the answer is yes. Again, you've
got to get things started with a fingernail, but the label will peel off.
That's good and bad. On one hand, I think the labels peels off a
little TO easily. On the other, the labels come off smoothly without
leaving a bunch of sticky adhesive behind. That could be a very good
thing if you decide to 're-customize' your chips at a later date. Good
stuff all around.

Custom Chip Stickers
#2: Like the earlier review for Personal Poker Chips (above),
these stickers proved to be both durable and very good looking. For
those folks that are about to, or already have, invested in a 'mid-range'
poker chip set, these stickers provide a great way to customize and
personalize the chips. They are easy to put on and pretty difficult to
remove. Look at putting these suckers on chips with a RECESSED
center. These
SlamDunkImport chips appeared to have a higher gloss and overall better
finish than the Personal Poker Chip versions. Highly recommended.

World Series Of Poker
Handheld Texas Hold' em Game: I
have to say that I have never been a big fan of any of the handheld or
computer based Poker games....but hey...if you're stuck on a plane
somewhere....what can you do? The WSOP Texas Hold'em electronic game
has gobs of options related to playing Hold'em, inlcuding the ability to
play with multiple people (up to 6). The sound, is, well, loud.
If you do leave the sound on while on a plane, the person next to you is
likely to try an injure you eventually. The game can show your
potential winning percentage on hands...which in my case was usually, "HA HA
HA". It's actually built pretty study. I first dropped, then tossed it
pretty hard onto a carpeted floor. No damage. All in all...for
the if you're a fan, or you know a fan or these electronic games, I don't
think you're going to be disappointed with this one. However, if you
and 5 of your best friends are hanging our together with a deck of cards and
some chips...and you pull thing thing out to play poker on...you should be
beat with a stick.

World Series
Of Poker Poker Table: The WSOP
Poker Table is really pretty cool. I've played with a variety of the
'fold-out' tables and this one ain't half bad. Looks wise, the
graphics are well done and crisp. The felt is extremely dark green and
very short. The graphics are printed on nice and solid...so even a
fair amount of fingernail scratching doesn't hurt anything. The table itself
is a little 'squishy'...so it gives a soft feel while playing. The
table folds into fourths, so it's easier to store than some of the other
tables I've played with (and owned). Downsides? The first is
minor, and that is, as the Official PokerChipReviews.com stated, "It's
stinky". Well, yes, immediately out of the box, it is, in fact,
'stinky' However that went away quickly. Second, and a bit more
serious, was that the table can easily be flexed if you put weight on any
un-supported edges. With a couple nights playing on it, this wasn't a
problem for us...but I could see that if one of your On-The-Second-Six-Pack
brawny poker buddies got rambunctious, the table could be damaged. In
the end, I did like this table.

World Series Of Poker Playing
Cards: The WSOP are very
similar to Bee or Bicycle cards. (The WSOP cards don't show the
manufacturer). They have a linen texture to them and come pretty slick
out of the box. They come in a nice collector tin for those hardcore
WSOP fans. Look good and play good. What more can you say?

World Series Of Poker Deluxe
Card Shuffler: EVERYONE needs
an electric card shuffler. If, for any reason, just to impress your
friends at the office. After 3 nights of playing with this
sucker...here are the conclusions: #1: Does it shuffle cards faster
than a human being - No. #2: If it more fun than hand-shuffling
- Yes. #3: Does it get in the way on your poker table? -
Yes. #4: Did it break with my buddy knocked it on the
floor....twice - No. #5: Is my buddy invited back next week-
No. #6: Would I buy another one of these - Yes.
OK...so you get the idea. Put the cards in, press the button, and like
some miracle of science, your cards are shuffled in about 2 to 4 seconds.
Only problem with the gadget is that on one out of every 5 or 6 shuffles, it
launches a card OUT of either side of the machine. Again...depending on the
level of intoxication...this can be either really annoying or highly
entertaining. Hey...and this one has classy wood trim. What more
could you want?
